Novamen Live at Stubnitz 3/6/2005
Mr. Pauli In The Mix, the sleazy electro funk mix we posted last week has been so popular that we dug up another old set out the archives — This time Mr. Pauli & Dj Overdose playing live as the Novamen! That’s right baby, everybody’s favorite electro duo from The Hague playing some of their best tracks completely live from the MPC and synthesizers, plus Overdose rocking some serious vocoder raps on the M-I-C.
This set kicked everybody’s ass back when it first dropped, since at that time all of these tracks (except for Murdercapital Mentality) were unreleased and completely new, which naturally sent the electro freaks into a frenzy. We are glad to say that 5 years on, all the tracks in the set have been released on vinyl where they belong and are now finding their place into more banging electro funk sets.
The Novamen let us all know that they rule the fucking planet. A bold call — but you know what? At Cold Crush, we’re not going to argue! This set is straight fire baby!
