The Cold Crush Brothers live at Dixie

Hailing from Boogie Down Bronx, the legendary Cold Crush Brothers should need no introduction! Alongside crews like Afrika Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, and long time rivals The Fantastic Five, they were around during the birth of hip hop in New York.

Known for their wild on stage antics, the Cold Crush Brothers pretty much set the standard of what it meant to be an MC, and rocked shows in not only the five boroughs of New York but were also one of the first crews to take hip hop abroad by ripping up stages in Europe and Japan.

This clip is from Charlie Ahearn‘s seminal classic Wild Style. Wild Style was the first – and greatest hip hop movie, and is in fact so dope that a mere paragraph could never do it justice, so it will get its own post in good time.
